Hospitality and many eyes on Forums

One forum I like and often check in on is the Iraqi Linux User Group, another is The Fashion Spot. One I post on a lot is the Publisher Database and another is Open Forums. All of these gather people from around the world in conversation and strategy sharing. These layers of dialogue are layers of the network, layers of different groups’ communications habits and protocols. We will have these kinds of conversation while still having conversations about infrastructure and building new kinds of software. With our many eyes, choosing what we will look at, and agreeing, for different tasks, to follow someone who is clearly, based on the history of their contributions, more dedicated or more expert, we collaborate effectively to combine our good ideas. And slowly the fear of being useless, ridiculous, misunderstood, or of making mistakes, might have a chance to melt in the light, and in the balanced, binding spacetime, of a flawed but improving digital hospitality.
